Well, almost. You can now pre-order it. The rumoured and later confirmed resurrection of the 2005 classic is back, and Logitech is offering this reincarnated piece of pure nostalgia at the attractive price point of only $60. As this is for a modern mouse with modern hardware, it’s not a bad price.

While the looks might remind you of the classic, the hardware certainly does not. The G MX518 features Logitech’s flagship 16,000DPI Hero sensor, a 32-bit ARM processor and operates at a 1ms response time. To boot, the onboard memory allows you to save the configuration for your 8 available buttons on the mouse itself, so it’s always ready to take with you wherever you might find yourself gaming.

Yes, it’s a wired mouse, but to me, that’s OK. It is meant to be a resurrection of the “greatest mouse ever made”, so changing it too much also won’t do any good.
