Softbank Clears its NVIDIA Stock Valued at US$ 3.6 Billion

Softbank is one of the largest holders of NVIDIA stock, but on 10 January sold its entire holding valued at a little over JPY 39.8 billion, or US$ 4.6 billion as of 31 December 2018. Well known for far-sighted investments in the IT sector, this news is rather troublesome of industry investors.

This is not the first blow to the company in recent times. NVIDIA last month lowered its Q4 revenue outlook by US$ 500 million, citing “”deteriorating economic conditions in China.”

NVIDIA’s value has fallen by almost 50% in the last four months, although share prices have somewhat stabilized.
