Fortnite UPDATE: Patch notes and hotfix news for update 7.10

A NEW Fortnite update is releasing this week, with news shared on Epic Games’ plans for 7.10 patch notes and downtime.

UPDATE ONE:

The full Fortnite 7.10 update patch notes have been released today, alongside a surprise hotfix.

Epic Games were forced to release a small patch today following issues with battle royale gameplay.

Legendary Burst Rifles were apparently spawning in high numbers, something that wasn’t supposed to happen.

The new hotfix should be available to everyone now on PS4, Xbox, PC, Switch and Mobile.

“We’ve just released a hotfix that resolves the issue causing too many Epic/Legendary Burst Rifles from spawning.

“Some players may notice this fix before others and it may take up to roughly an hour for all servers to receive it.”

FORTNITE DOWNTIME:

As tomorrow will see a new content update released, it doesn’t appear that there will be server downtime.

Epic Games usually announce in advance if they plan to take the game offline for a certain length of time.

However, this has not happened today, suggesting that there will be no downtime for Fortnite Battle Royale.

Here is the latest news from Epic Games, who posted on Twitter: “Unseen & Unheard…A stealthy new addition arrives to Battle Royale.

“Sneak up on enemies in the final v7.10 Content Update. Available tomorrow, January 8 at 8 AM ET(1300 UTC).”
