The almost-21 year old Mega Man has just had its latest update in the form of Mega Man 11/11 !! The original game was originally developed for the Nintendo NES, but has since spawned sequels on a multitude of platforms including the SEGA Genesis, Sega Game Gear and Nintendo Game Boy.

For fans of Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 that want even more graphical detail, patch v1.11 adds high resolution texture packs. Along with that, the patch also includes a variety of new additions to the level editor, including new weapons, vehicles and more.

On the computer side of things, both Steam and uPlay will automatically download the patch the next time you launch them.

Tropico 6 Beta Trailer Released

Tropico players rejoice! For those strategy gamers who enjoy taking the role of El Presidente and creating their own tropical paradise (or hell-hole slum), Tropico 6 is finally coming four years after Tropico 5 was released.

Available now for pre-order directly from Kalypso Media, players can get instant access to the beta as well as a price reduction of 10%. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will have to wait for the launch, which is scheduled for January 2019.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Released

Back in 2010, Rockstar Games released Red Dead Redemption, a GTA-esque game set in the year 1911 and taking place on the USA/Mexico border. The game was met with critical acclaim, but was never released on PC. Gamers were after a sequel almost from the get-go, and finally we’re getting it. Rockstar Games has released a trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, which launches later this month on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

World War 3 System Requirements Revealed

The Farm 51’s upcoming futuristic multiplayer FPS, World War 3, is available for pre-order on Steam. This, of course, means that the system requirements are now available. For those who don’t have the power to play the latest Battlefield or Call of Duty titles, you might still be able to play World War 3 as the requirements are pretty lax.

Metal Gear Solid (1998) Intro Remastered in Unreal Engine 4

Unreal Engine 4 has been making some rather large waves lately, with our newest find being a remake of the intro scene of 1998’s Metal Gear Solid done in the engine (in case you missed it, we had an article earlier today about the opening scene for Half-Life being remade in Unreal Engine 4).

Made by Erasmus Brosdau, the remake has remastered sound and various market place assets. Once again, the engine shows just how impressively versatile it really is.

For those of you who won’t know, a small indie studio called SilverTM has been working on a remake of Half-Life in Unreal Engine 4 called Project Lambda. The graphics and environment are absolutely breathtaking, although it may be argued that the original game had a very unique atmosphere.

The below video shows the opening tram rail scene, which is likely to blow you away once it heads outdoors. The tram rail bending is also incredibly impressive, as are the lighting effects. The images below are from Project Lambda as well as some of their other works. As per the thumbnail, absolutely no commentary is required as it really does speak for itself.

Devil May Cry 5 System Requirements Revealed

Capcom’s upcoming game, Devil May Cry 5, is now available for pre-order on Steam, which means the system requirements are now available for all to see. The requirements are actually fairly beefy, needing a Core i7-4770 just to get out of bed in the morning.

Metro Exodus Showcased with RTX Enabled

NVIDIA has uploaded a video to their Youtube channel showing six minutes of gameplay footage from 4A Games’ upcoming title, Metro Exodus. In the video, comparisons are made with RTX enabled and disabled for a striking comparison where the RTRT lighting effects can be seen especially easily.

Metro Exodus is the third game in the series, following after Metro: 2033 and Metro: Last Light. The game is a first person shooter with survival horror elements. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, 23 years after a nuclear war and two years after the events of Metro: Last Light. It is slated for release on 22 February 2019.

Sony Introduces PlayStation Classic Pre-Loaded with 20 Games

Back on 3 December 1994, Sony Computer Entertainment launched a fifth-generation console to the Japanese market that would change the world and quickly become synonymous with gaming – the original Sony PlayStation. During the course of 1995 it launched across the rest of the world and went on to become the first gaming console to sell over 100 million units, making it one of the most successful consoles of all time. Almost a quadranscentennial later, on 3 December 2018 (exactly 24 years after the original Japanese launch), Sony is releasing the PlayStation Classic, a miniature version of the original console with 20 pre-loaded games.

AMD Takes the Lead in the New Forza Horizon 4 DX12 Benchmark

Gamers around the world will get their first look into the big, beautiful world of Forza Horizon 4 in a free DirectX 12 demo and benchmark.

Low-level APIs like DirectX 12 allow GPUs to deliver faster performance with lower overhead, and Radeon graphics cards are taking full advantage to deliver more consistent frames, reduced latency and more power efficiency. AMD worked closely with Playground Games to give Radeon players the best performance in this demo, with the AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card beating the GeForce GTX 1080 at 1080p, 1440p, and native 4K.
